Dear Colleagues We are pleased to announce the upcoming ECPM Seminar "Elderly in Future Pharmacotherapy" which will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Pharmacenter, Basel, Switzerland. Pharmacotherapy in the elderly is complicated and driven by multifactorial issues. This includes age-related physiologic changes, the presence of multiple chronic disease states, functional changes in neuropsychiatric and physical abilities, and the patient's desire versus ability to comply with recommended therapy. Adverse drug reactions and interactions are more common than in the general population. This ECPM Seminar focusses on main challenges of drug treatment in the silver population.
